Dr. Jose Anthony Cervantes

Dr. Anthony Cervantes completed his medical training at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson during which time he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and selected by his peers into the Gold Humanism Honors Society. After completing an internship at the Tucson Hospital Medical Education Program, he went on to his dermatology training at the University of Texas Dell Medical School in Austin Texas where he served as Chief Resident. Following residency, he completed an intense fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston Texas.
Dr. Cervantes has published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at national, regional, and local academic meetings. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. He has a special interest in medical missions, and cutaneous oncology and dermatologic surgery. Prior to pursuing a career in medicine, Dr. Cervantes served in the United States Air Force as a Pararescueman, an elite medical operator trained to provide personnel recovery in austere and non-permissive environments. Dr. Cervantes continues to serve in the Air Force Reserve as the Chief Enlisted Manager at the 306th Rescue Squadron. Outside of work, Dr. Cervantes enjoys spending time with his wife and children, hiking, fishing, and fitness.
