Co-investigators: Stuart Salache MD, David S. Alberts MD, Norman Levine MD, James Warneke MD "Quantitative Relationship of Histopathologic Changes, Genotypic Changes, Immunohistochemical Surrogate Endpoint Biomarkers (SEBS), and Morphometric Changes to Multi-step Skin Carcinogenesis" This study was designed to evaluate skin biopsy biomarkers of cancer risk and response. As medical coordinator, I was responsible for writing the study protocol, screening participants, performing skin biopsies, and assessing participant response. Additionally, I participated in research exploring topically administered novel chemoprotective agents for the management of actinic keratoses. Some of the agents studied include perillyl alcohol, niacin, epigallocatechin gallate (an extract from green tea), and a-difluoromethyl-ornithine (DFMO). 07/2002 - 06/2003
