Botox® Cosmetic
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a safe, simple, non-surgical
treatment. A healthcare professional will make a few
tiny injections, and within days there is a noticeable
improvement in moderate to severe frown lines between
the brows, forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet or
lip lines. BOTOX® Cosmetic treats the
cause of these unwanted lines by relaxing the muscle
contractions which initially formed them. Results will
generally last up to four months.

Laser
Technology
With laser procedures we are able to provide advanced
treatment of benign vascular and pigmented lesions
including birthmarks, dilated blood vessels and age
spots. We can successfully treat most red, purple and
brown lesions of virtually every size and on all parts
of the body in an outpatient setting. Lasers are also
used to treat stubborn acne and rosacea and to permanently
reduce unwanted hair growth quickly and comfortably.
Our lasers are suitable for use on most skin types.
UltraPulse Encore Fractional Laser
Ironwood Dermatology’s UltraPulse Encore is
a CO2 laser designed to offer the versatility of
both deep and light - minimal downtime, skin resurfacing.
The UltraPulse laser delivers fractional treatments
encompassing ActiveFX™, DeepFX™ and TotalFX™.
Each procedure involves treating only a fraction
of the skin’s surface, leaving untouched skin
to aid in the regeneration process. “Ultrapulses” of
the laser vaporize lines, wrinkles, scars, dark spots
and other irregularities, layer by layer. This process
also stimulates the formation over time of new, underlying
collagen to provide better elasticity and support
for the skin. UltraPulse, the gold standard of CO2
lasers, is used to deliver a variety of low downtime
treatments that can be customized according to the
nature and extent of photodamage, wrinkling, skin
type and individual requirements for recovery time.
Vbeam®
The Vbeam® pulsed dye laser is the gold
standard for the treatment of vascular lesions and
age spots, but it has a wide variety of applications.
The following are some of the lesions and conditions
for which the Vbeam maybe used.
- Vascular lesions: port wine
stains, facial and leg spider veins, rosacea, hemangiomas
and venous lakes.
- Brown age and sun damage spots
- Warts
- Scars and stretch marks
- Acne: attacks the bacteria
that causes acne and diminishes characteristic
red, swollen lesions. The result is often clear,
blemish-free skin.

Lightsheer® Laser
For Permanent Hair Reduction
This innovative, light-based device has revolutionized
the treatment of unwanted hair. The Lightsheer® laser
offers safe, gentle and convenient solutions for
both men and women. The Lightsheer® targets
numerous hair follicles simultaneously, allowing
the treatment of most areas quickly and effectively.
Multiple treatment sessions are required to achieve

Peels
Chemical peels are beneficial in treating fine lines
and wrinkles around the eyes and mouth, skin discoloration,
age spots, sun damage spots and dull skin texture.
Chemical peels can be incorporated into acne treatment
programs to open comedones, speed healing of inflammatory
lesions and improve mild acne scarring.

Next
Generation Dermal Fillers: Juvéderm™,
and Radiesse®
Juvéderm™
Recently approved by the FDA, Juvéderm™ injectable
gel is a “next-generation” dermal filler
and is the only hyaluronic acid filler FDA approved
to last up to one year. The smooth consistency gel
helps to instantly restore skin’s volume and
smooth away facial wrinkles and folds. Juvéderm™ is
a gel made of hyaluronic acid--a naturally occurring
substance in skin that helps to add volume and hydration.
In addition, Juvéderm™ injectable gel
is the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid dermal
filler that is proven to be safe and effective for
persons of color.
Radiesse® Facial
Filler
This next generation dermal filler was FDA approved
in December 2006 for the long lasting correction
of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.
Radiesse® also
received a second FDA approval for the long lasting
correction of facial fat loss (lipoatrophy) in people
with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Radiesse® is
composed of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres
in a gel carrier that enables the body to generate

Perlane®
Restylane® and Perlane® are hyaluronic acid
